“Rostov is still in bloom, but, unfortunately, this will not last long. Some flower beds are already a bit empty. I recommend that those who want to take beautiful photos hurry up, because the lifespan of a tulip flower is very short. Although I think Rostov residents are lucky, because these flowers are in abundance here,” said Nikita Yudin.
There are many legends about this flower. According to one of them, in the sixth century, Prince Farhad and the beautiful girl Shirin lived in Iran. The young people loved each other very much, but one day the prince was informed that Shirin had allegedly died. After this news, Farhad decided to commit suicide by cutting himself with an ax. In the place where his blood was shed, scarlet tulips grew, which became a symbol of eternal and perfect love.
According to another ancient Greek legend, there lived a girl named Tulip. She was beautiful and chaste. The god of autumn Weilzum fell in love with her, but the girl did not reciprocate his feelings. In an attempt to get rid of her annoying boyfriend, she turned to the goddess of female chastity, Artemis. She turned the girl into a beautiful flower to save her from marriage to an unloved woman.
