The Ministry of Emergency Situations carries out all control and supervisory activities in accordance with federal legislation, Logos44.ru became aware.
There are no plans to conduct unscheduled inspections at catering establishments after the fire in the kitchen at the Camelot cafe. This was reported by the regional department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kostroma region. The department notes that all control and supervisory activities are carried out in accordance with federal legislation.

“In accordance with the Fire Regulations in the Russian Federation, the heads of organizations before the start of the heating season, as well as during the heating season, ensure that chimneys and stoves are cleaned of soot at least once every 3 months – for heating stoves, with the exception of continuous stoves. Once every 1 month – for kitchen stoves and other continuous (long-term) combustion stoves. The same requirements apply to catering establishments that use ovens for cooking (baking, kebabs, charcoal dishes, etc.)
The head of the organization or another official authorized by the head of the organization determines the procedure and timing of work to clean ventilation chambers, cyclones, filters and air ducts from combustible waste and deposits with the preparation of a corresponding act, and such work is carried out at least once a year.
During control and supervision activities, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations check reports of completed work on cleaning hoods, chimneys, and ventilation ducts. At the moment, there are no special unscheduled inspections of public catering establishments planned. However, we urge the managers of such establishments to strictly comply with fire safety requirements and take care of the safety of staff and visitors,” reported the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Let us remind you that in early April, two emergencies occurred in one week: smoke in the kitchen of one of the establishments in the Gallery shopping center and a fire in the Camelot cafe. In both cases, visitors were urgently evacuated and no one was injured.
