A security obligation has been approved for the Borel and Kindsfather mill in Saratov
The decision was made in the relevant committee
The Cultural Heritage Committee of the Saratov Region approved a protective obligation for the cultural heritage site of regional significance “Mill of Borels and Kindsfathers”. The press service of the department told OM about this.
The monument is located in the village of Konstantinovka in the Gagarinsky district of Saratov. The object was included in the unified state register in 2020 based on the results of a historical and cultural examination.
According to local historians who studied the structure, the mill was built in the 1870s. The largest landowners near the village at that time were the Borel and Kindsfather families. They ran a business together and were related by family ties. Therefore, it is difficult to determine the first owner of the building. The first documents describing the mill date back to 1882. During this period, the owner of the estate, Yegor Kindsfather, mortgaged all his real estate, but was unable to pay. But soon the family found a way out and bought the property. The mill operated until the 1990s: orders were fulfilled for the production of flour and for grinding feed for livestock.
The security obligation establishes the terms and types of work that the owner of the property must perform. In particular, it is necessary to develop documentation and carry out emergency work, and then work to preserve the monument. In addition, the owner must install an information sign with information about the object.
