In St. Petersburg, bailiffs helped a 44-year-old St. Petersburg woman with two children move into the apartment of her 66-year-old father and fully use the kitchen, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for St. Petersburg reported today.

As it became known, a St. Petersburg woman, who was in conflict with her father, proved in court that she has the right to live in her parent’s three-room apartment in Shushary: the woman legally owns 1/3 of the share in the disputed apartment, her sons – 1/6. An elderly Petersburg resident remodeled his home – he erected a partition between the kitchen and the corridor.

In court, he stated that he could not move in new tenants, since the procedure for using the apartment could not be established due to the redevelopment. The court did not agree with the pensioner’s arguments and ordered him to return the apartment to its original condition. Also, two of the three rooms were to be given to relatives for use.

The bailiff repeatedly came to the disputed apartment and held conversations with the debtor. To avoid problems, an elderly St. Petersburg resident tore down the partition. The debtor was also warned that if he re-installs the fence, the claimant has the right to contact the bailiff service to resume enforcement proceedings.

Earlier, the St. Petersburg Diary reported that the bicycle helped a St. Petersburg resident pay off his debt.
