Deputy Chairman of the Yabloko party Boris Vishnevsky* challenged in court the status of a foreign agent, which he received on March 29.

Member of the St. Petersburg parliament, deputy chairman of the Yabloko party Boris Vishnevsky* challenged in court the decision of the Ministry of Justice dated March 29, 2024 to include him in the register of foreign agents, Fontanka reports.

The deputy today sent two administrative claims to the court. The claim to the Vasileostrovsky court (at the applicant’s place of residence) states that the applicant is not “under foreign influence”, and his activities are related exclusively to the implementation of his constitutional rights. The lawsuit in the Oktyabrsky Court (at the location of the Ministry of Justice in St. Petersburg) stated that the decision of the Ministry of Justice interferes with Vishnevsky’s parliamentary activities* and thereby conflicts with the Constitution of the Russian Federation and current legislation.

The fact that St. Petersburg deputy Boris Vishnevsky* was included in the list of foreign agents became known on March 29. After this, he was expelled from the Vasileostrovsky district commission for the demolition of dilapidated houses, as well as from the commission on land use and development of the Central region, where he was delegated as a deputy of parliament.
