In 2024, an overpass will be completed in Saratov and roads will be repaired on 38 street sections. This was announced by the Chairman of the Committee on Road Facilities, Improvement and Transport, Igor Pozdnikin, at a meeting of the Commission on Municipal Services, Urban Planning, Architecture, Transport, Communications and Trade of the Saratov City Duma.

Pozdnikin reported on the repair of roads and the installation of new traffic lights, pedestrian barriers and road signs on dozens of streets. The largest project was the construction of an overpass across the railway crossing on Peschano-Umetskaya Street. The official spoke about the construction of new roads in the Urban Spaces microdistrict. This year, the repair of the overpass on Razin Street, which will be part of the route of trams number 10 and 9, will continue.

Last year, 12 meetings of the road safety commission were held. They considered about 300 issues, of which half of the proposals were approved. In addition, projects have been prepared for the construction of an overpass across the crossing on the Sokursky tract, and the repair of the road along Brothers Nikitin Street.

As part of the national project “Housing”, it is planned to build an entrance to Raskovo from the Saratov-Dubki-Novaya Lipovka highway. As part of the national project, an overpass near Zhasminny will be completed, as well as 11 large sections of roads. 27 road sections will be repaired using transport tax funds.

Deputy Viktor Markov (non-partisan) asked how things are going with warranty repairs of roads. As an example, he cited Oktyabrskaya Street, the new asphalt on which collapsed after the winter. According to Markov, this happened at the intersection with the Glebuchevo ravine, because there was constant water there after the rains and melting snow. Now there are gaping holes on the roadway.

“As for Oktyabrskaya Street. Indeed, the cause was the accumulation of water and temperature changes. There is a solution. In the summer we will go out there with “Vodostok” and the contractor and fix it,” Pozdnikin promised.

Deputy Yevgeny Alai (KPRF) asked whether it was possible to carry out street repairs in the same way as the streets of Tarkhov in early April. There, 50 thousand square meters on a four-lane road were completely repaired in four days.

Deputy Marina Evsyukova (United Russia) asked when another exit from the village of Ivolgino will be built – along Taraskina Street. She said that yesterday she timed the time it took her in the morning to leave the neighborhood. It took her 27 minutes.

“The master plan provides for a traffic loop in Ivolgino, but we won’t build it this year,” replied the chairman of the road committee.

Deputy Andrei Aksenov (United Russia) asked Pozdnikin about the fate of the road along Ogorodnaya Street in the Zavodsky District. The roadway was destroyed during the construction of the light rail line.

“The contractor does not limit himself; he crushed the road to dust. What are our plans? Are we going to rebuild? — the deputy specified.

“As for the construction of a high-speed tram, all destruction is registered by us and construction control and will be presented to the contractor,” Pozdnikin assured. According to him, the contractor will be obliged to restore all the destruction caused by FrakJet-Stroy LLC.

“It’s impossible to restore there. It’s in the trash, we can’t get away with repairs,” Aksenov responded and suggested that we go outside and look at the condition of the road in person.
