In Novosibirsk, a woman was refused to return her mink coat to the studio. This was reported by the Office of the Judicial Department of the Novosibirsk Region.

In Novosibirsk, the owner of the studio will pay for the lost fur coat of her client. The court ordered her to pay more than 348 thousand rubles.

The story began in October 2021, when Larisa Z. gave her mink coat to Elena K.’s atelier for repairs. However, instead of the promised deadlines, she was faced with a delay in the process, ignoring her claims and the need for litigation.

Despite the fact that the repair deadlines were irretrievably missed, the studio was in no hurry to return the fur coat to the owner. Moreover, the owner avoided responsibility in every possible way, claiming that the seamstress took the item to her home due to illness.

Having failed to achieve justice from law enforcement agencies, Larisa Z. went to court. She demanded compensation for the loss of her fur coat, penalties for delay, compensation for moral damages and legal expenses.

The court sided with the plaintiff and decided to oblige Elena K.’s studio to pay:

– 232,150 rubles for a lost fur coat

– 10,000 rubles penalty

– 16,500 rubles for uncompleted work

– 1,000 rubles compensation for moral damage

– 19,000 rubles in legal expenses

– 70,000 rubles fine

Trying to challenge the court’s decision, the owner of the studio argued that at the time of accepting the order she was not conducting business and had transferred the premises to a seamstress she knew. However, the court did not believe these arguments and upheld the decision of the first instance.
