The travel service Russpass showed five new routes around the spring capital. The proposed walks are suitable for both tourists and residents, reports the press service of the Moscow Tourism Committee.

Deputy Mayor of the capital – Chief of Staff of the Mayor and City Government Natalya Sergunina said that each of the routes includes more than 10 iconic places of the capital, united by a common theme.

“For example, on the eve of Easter, those who wish will be able to get acquainted with the pearls of Orthodox architecture – the Pokrovsky, Novospassky and Spaso-Andronikov monasteries and several churches. Experts have also prepared ideas for active recreation with the whole family and for a long walk through the historical center,” Sergunina noted.

The first route is “Date with Moscow. A walk through the quiet streets of the capital.” It lasts two hours and starts from Taganskaya Square, passes through the house on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, the mansion of Zinaida Morozova, the Marina Tsvetaeva House-Museum and other attractions.

The second is “Bungee, skates and illusions: a route for an active family holiday in the capital.” When you go on this walk, you can wander along the eco-trail “On the Slope of the Sparrow Hills,” as well as visit the playgrounds of Gorky Park and take a ride on the cable car.

The third option is “Itinerary through the capital’s pilgrimage sites.” Its participants will admire temples, monasteries, exhibitions of the Museum of Russian Icons and the Central Museum of Ancient Russian Culture and Art named after Andrei Rublev.

The fourth route is “Friday evening in the capital.” It begins with dinner at a Moscow restaurant and continues at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, the drama theater on Malaya Bronnaya and the oldest cinema in the city “Khudozhestvenny”. You can also watch the sunrise in the Muzeon art park and stroll along the Crimean embankment.

The fifth walk, “Route along the Waves of Memory,” will take visitors back to Soviet times. Participants can admire unusual high-rise buildings, visit the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center at VDNKh, museums of antique slot machines and vintage toys, and the famous donut shops.
