Every year on April 19, the Day of United Action is celebrated throughout the country in memory of the genocide of the Soviet people by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War. On this day, April 19, 2024, the Department of Social Sciences and Youth Policy of Ordinary State Medical University held a thematic event “No statute of limitations. Not subject to oblivion”
The event was attended by 1st year students of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Clinical Psychology, as well as students of IDO SPO OrSMU.
As part of the event, students visited the exhibition “Crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices against civilians in the occupied territory of the RSFSR during the Great Patriotic War” The exhibition was presented by the head of the Orenburg regional branch of the “Search Movement of Russia” S.I. Elchaninov.
Employees of the United State Archives of the Orenburg Region, chief archivist A.S. were invited to the thematic lecture. Fedorova made a report “No statute of limitations. The tragedy of the civilian population during the Great Patriotic War” Also, the students were presented with a video series from archival materials and documentary evidence telling about the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices in the occupied territory of the USSR.
The project “Without a Statute of Limitations” is intended to contribute to the formation in the public consciousness of a feeling of rejection of Nazism and a stable idea of the inevitability of punishment for crimes against humanity, no matter what statute of limitations they have.
