In the studio of the Lipetsk FM radio station, Vladimir Zhelvakov, a double special operation volunteer from Lipetsk, read letters from his grandfather, Great Patriotic War soldier Georgy Ivanov. The family keeps 62 front triangles as valuable heirlooms.

They tell the story of one fighter and, at the same time, a whole generation of winners.

Vladimir Zhelvakov said that his grandfather Georgy Yakovlevich is an example of a true patriot for him. It was precisely, knowing his history, that Vladimir, the father of six children, volunteered for the front.

Georgy Ivanov died literally a few days before the Victory. He sent his last letters to his family from Berlin.

“I’m on the outskirts of Berlin. The bastards are running, trembling! The Russians are coming! Mom, perhaps while this letter is coming, all this will end. Well, okay, I’m sorry that I write to you so little, I don’t have time, I kiss you deeply, your son Georgiy.” , – it is written in that letter.

The full broadcast, in which Vladimir Zhelvakov reads letters from his grandfather, can be received on Lipetsk FM radio on May 9.
