According to the press service of the Povolzhsky Lesproekt branch of Roslesinforg, in 2023 more than 594 million rubles were invested in the development of enterprises producing furniture products in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
89.8% of this amount was allocated for the purchase of production machinery and equipment. The remaining funds are for transport, infrastructure development and ICT equipment.
According to the information, the region produced 3.4% of the total Russian volume of furniture. The leaders are the Moscow, Penza, Vladimir regions and St. Petersburg. The Nizhny Novgorod region closes the top five.
According to the director of the Volga Forest Project, Pavel Lebedev, in monetary terms, furniture production in the region increased by 8.8% compared to 2022, reaching 15.2 billion rubles.
Several large investment projects are currently being implemented here. In particular, plots have been allocated for the construction of new production complexes (9.9 thousand sq. m. in Nizhny Novgorod and 3 thousand sq. m. in the village of Redkino).
Seven large furniture manufacturers in the region are participating in the Labor Productivity national project, within the framework of which they are introducing the best lean manufacturing practices.
As previously reported, the Privolzhskaya furniture factory (Kstovo), based on the results of optimizing the cabinet furniture production process, intends to increase output by 18% by the time the project is completed.
And the output of Silva LLC (Bogorodsk) has already increased by almost 45% based on the results of consultations with experts from the Regional Competence Center.
