Today, April 24, deputies of the Volgograd City Duma held a regular meeting at which they discussed over 30 issues.

In the press service of the City Duma, Gorodskie Vesti journalists learned that the deputies’ agenda included property issues, issues related to the execution of the city budget, and social issues.

“First of all, the City Duma adopted the annual report on the activities of the Volgograd Chamber of Control and Accounts,” the City Duma said. – Chairman of the PSC Alexander Mordvintsev earlier at meetings of relevant committees informed deputies in detail about the results of external municipal financial control, control and expert-analytical activities carried out by auditors in 2023 and examination of draft municipal legal acts.

Auditors still consider the prevention of systemic management errors to be the main thing in their work.

Deputies also today supported the project to schedule public hearings on the execution of the Volgograd budget for last year. They are scheduled for May 16 at 18.00 in the meeting room of the Volgograd City Duma.

In addition, the people’s representatives made changes to nine existing regulatory legal acts, bringing them into line with changes in federal and regional legislation. A number of individual municipal legal acts were declared invalid.
