In Tyumen they began to update road markings after the winter, but so far only with paint. The task of road workers is to update and mark boundaries for drivers and pedestrians for orientation and compliance with traffic rules.
The first stage began on April 22. The total length of the facilities where it will be updated is about 20 kilometers. The longest section is located on Yamskaya Street, from Kommunisticheskaya Street to the bypass road. Its length is 5 km. The shortest section – 430 meters – is located on Vodoprovodnaya Street from Lenin to Sovetskaya.
From May 11, if the temperature rises above zero, the second stage of work will begin; road workers will update the markings with thermoplastic, reports the city administration’s public relations and media committee. In total, the work will affect more than a thousand road objects.
The pothole repair season has also started in Tyumen.
By May 15, it will be completed on the streets of Ordzhonikidze, Domostroiteley, Chekistov, 50 let Komsomol, Montazhnikov, Vosstaniya, 50 let Oktyabrya, Staro-Tobolsky tract.
