The event will take place on Friday, April 26, at the TPU International Cultural Center (Usova St., 13v). The game starts at 14.00. To participate you must register.

“After registration, participants will be randomly assigned to six teams. They have to go through task points to find out what route the oil takes from the deposit to the gas station. With the participation of TomskNIPIneft specialists, schoolchildren will listen to short theoretical lectures and complete practical tasks using real laboratory equipment, for example, try their hand at core research. Thus, representatives of the laboratory will talk about the basics of the structure of the reservoir and show oil production diagrams. At one of the points, participants will need to find a leak in the pipeline using a VR complex. At another station – “Energy Objects” – schoolchildren will learn a lot of interesting things about energy system models and will be able to conduct experiments. In general, students will be able to get acquainted with the full cycle of oil production,” says Elena Vershkova, curator of the event from TPU, senior lecturer in the oil and gas department.

For passing each point, teams will receive part of a QR code. At the end of the quest, they will need to correctly collect the QR code and pass the final quiz. Members of the winning team will receive additional points for admission to Tomsk Polytechnic University. In addition, all schoolchildren will be awarded prizes from TomskNIPIneft.
