United Russia has sent tens of thousands of tons of humanitarian aid to new regions since the beginning of the Northern Military District

The results of the work of the humanitarian headquarters of United Russia over two years were summed up at a meeting with the participation of the secretary of the party’s General Council, Andrei Turchak.

“Since the beginning of the Northern Military District, regional branches of United Russia have collected and delivered more than 110 thousand tons of humanitarian aid to new regions. Almost 13 billion rubles were collected and allocated for the purchase of cars, drones, communications equipment, electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems, thermal imagers, and equipment for our soldiers,” noted the Secretary of the General Council.

He also emphasized that United Russia sent more than 1.5 thousand children from Donbass, Novorossiya and the Belgorod region for treatment and rehabilitation to federal clinics.

“In new regions, 12 United Russia children’s leisure centers have also been opened. The party is working with the Young Guard and the “We Don’t Abandon Our Own” foundation in medical institutions. Hundreds of our medical troops worked in front-line and front-line hospitals, providing assistance to the wounded and medical workers. Hundreds of tons of medical and rehabilitation equipment and medicines were delivered,” said Andrey Turchak.

In conclusion, he noted that the work of the humanitarian headquarters of United Russia must be continued until the Victory and the complete restoration of peaceful life in new regions.

Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad Region Pavel Korzhavykh also noted the help from the region:

“Assistance to the military from our party branches has been coming from the very beginning of the Northern Military District. The fighters were given all the necessary things and household items: from heated washbasins and barrels for storing food to thermal imagers, collimators and quadrocopters. Our Nevsky and Ladoga battalions, formed in the Leningrad region, are constantly receiving large amounts of aid – construction materials, generators and other necessary things.

I am very glad that many volunteer movements work together with the Party. Citizens also help, especially those who served in the military, took part in hot spots and know first-hand what it is like.

Today, work to support military personnel continues; the range of humanitarian supplies is absolutely diverse. In addition, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation actively helps the families of military personnel who serve in the Northern Military District zone.

I would also like to note that there is continuous assistance to our sponsored city, Yenakievo. During the Northern Military District, we restored and transformed the city, modern schools, kindergartens, new trams from the Leningrad region appeared, and this is not the entire list. All the assistance that we provide to both the military and new regions is under the strict control of the Secretary of the RO Party, Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko,” shared Pavel Korzhavykh.
