At a meeting of the Voronezh City Duma on Wednesday, May 24, parliamentarians supported the statement of their colleague Roman Zhogov to deprive him of his status as a full-time deputy.
Let us remind you that the parliamentarian is a defendant in a criminal case of fraud on an especially large scale. Roman Zhogov retains his deputy mandate, but he will no longer be a full-time employee of the City Duma and will no longer receive a salary for his work.
To the parliamentarian incriminated Part 4. Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to ten years. The victim in this case is the former vice-speaker of the City Duma, Alexander Provotorov, who previously convicted for defrauding his colleague Alexander Zhukov out of 1 million rubles.

According to law enforcement officers, Roman Zhogov persuaded Alexander Provotorov, who headed the Voronezh Experimental Mechanical Plant, to employ his wife at the enterprise. Maria Zhogova was on the staff for more than ten years, receiving about 20 thousand rubles monthly.
At the same time, the victim assumed that the salary paid to the woman goes to support the local unit of United Russia, which, by the way, after this incident suspended Roman Zhogov’s membership in the party.
