The regional court began considering a criminal case against Kursk residents who created a laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs.

According to investigators, men aged 31 and 32 decided to systematically produce mephedrone on a particularly large scale and sell it via the Internet. To do this, they equipped a homemade stationary laboratory in the basement of a house on the territory of SNT in the Kursk region.

The attackers found instructions for producing the drug on the Internet and purchased the necessary chemicals and equipment. At the beginning of last year they produced over 5.7 kg of the drug.

“In March, the men packaged part of the drug in two bags, put them in backpacks and intended to sell them, but when leaving the house they were detained by law enforcement officers,” said the United Press Service of the Kursk Region Judicial System.

The Kursk residents are accused of illegal production and attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy on an especially large scale. The sanction of the article provides for punishment up to life imprisonment.
