Residents of the Kaluga region will pay differently for heating in April. In houses where metering devices are installed, payment will be made according to the meter readings. If there is no such device, then payment will be made for a full month.
Heating in Kaluga residents’ homes is turned off if the average daily temperature does not drop below +8 degrees for five days. The shutdown occurs at once.
The State Housing Inspectorate explained that even if the heating is turned off in early May, you will no longer have to pay for the next month. This applies to those in whose homes meters are not installed.
There is another category of residents who may not wait for the official shutdown. Where it is technically possible, employees of the management company can turn off the supply of hot water to the radiators if necessary.
Acting Head of the State Housing Inspectorate of the Kaluga Region Kirill Dzyubenko: “In some apartment buildings it would be possible to turn off the heating now. They stand on the sunny side. Owners need to provide such a system in an apartment building so that it is possible to balance. And if the house is equipped with a metering device, then you can turn off the heating to the house if the owners vote in favor“.
