Let us remind you that an agreement on cooperation in the field of medical education was concluded between the government of the Vologda region and the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Yaroslavl State Medical University”.
In the new academic year, a branch of the Yaroslavl University will appear in Vologda, which will train medical personnel. It is planned that from September 1, 2024, 75 places will be open for the specialty “general medicine”, 30 places for residency training in six specialties: “therapy” “, “pediatrics”, “anesthesiology-reanimatology”, “general medical practice (family medicine)”, “otolaryngology”, “ophthalmology”.
The medical school will be located in the building where the pedagogical college was previously located – on Batyushkova Street, 2. Now it is being put in order.
“Funds have been allocated for ongoing repairs so that students can study in comfortable conditions at the beginning of the new academic year,” said the acting governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov at an operational meeting in the government.
A contractor has been appointed to carry out routine repairs. Work is being carried out as usual. The renovation should be completed within a month.
