On the Lipetsk-Chaplygin highway, repairs of the bridge across the Skrominka River in the village of Kalikino continue. The facility should be completed by the end of September. The length of the crossing is 38 meters, including the approaches – 123 meters. Now the contractor is completing work on one lane: installing the road surface and strengthening the bank cones so that the soil does not wash away during floods.

Road workers plan to launch traffic on the repaired lane in May. Then specialists will begin repairing the second part of the bridge. Additional piles will be installed here, supports will be strengthened, and crossbars and span beams will be replaced. The major overhaul of the crossing is financed by the regional program “Development of the transport system of the Lipetsk region.” By the end of the year, 16 bridges will be renewed in the region.

“We are increasing the volume of road work. In 2023, we repaired 540 kilometers of regional and municipal roads, and this year we will do about 600 kilometers. More than half of the volume – 350 kilometers – will be put in order thanks to funding within the framework of the national project “Safe Quality Roads,” said Governor Igor Artamonov.
