The head of Ulyanovsk, Alexander Boldakin, instructed to intensify the removal of reinforced concrete waste from the streets of the city – Ulyanovsk today

City streets are being cleaned up. Cleanliness and beauty in courtyards, parks, squares and roads will be actively pursued until the end of June.

A large amount of garbage can be collected during mass sanitary Fridays and cleanup days. On April 19 alone, for example, almost four thousand people came out to clean city streets. In total, the cleanup participants were able to collect about 610 cubic meters of various rubbish throughout the city. Sacks filled with various kinds of garbage, branches and leaves can still be seen along the roads. Their removal is carried out by the Dorremstroy Municipal Budgetary Institution, which daily allocates four dump trucks and loaders for this purpose. Other municipal enterprises also help with this task.

The mayor of the city, Alexander Boldakin, drew special attention to the need to intensify work on removing heavy reinforced concrete waste from city streets. There are quite a few such “art objects” scattered around the city, and it is often not possible for local residents to remove the “large-sized beauty” on their own: they need special equipment.

“Since the beginning of the week, abandoned slabs, broken supports, old blocks and various reinforced concrete structures have been removed from the streets of Michurin, Ulyana Gromovaya, Yunost, Skochilov, Repin, Tsiolkovsky and a number of others,” the mayor noted.

A local company, which has powerful crushers at its disposal, is involved in the disposal of collected reinforced concrete waste. Part of the crushed stone obtained after crushing reinforced concrete structures is returned to the city. The inert material is subsequently used to fill dirt roads.
