The first spring dispatch of conscripts took place at the military commissariat of the Lipetsk region. 24 recruits will serve in the ground forces: 15 will join the ranks of the motorized rifle battalion in the Leningrad region, another 9 will be assigned to the repair and restoration battalion in the Moscow region. It will take conscripts from four to six months to master a military registration specialty.
The ceremony took place to the accompaniment of the military orchestra of the Lipetsk Aviation Center. It was attended by government officials and social activists, students of the cadet school of the Lipetsk region named after police major Alexei Kovrizhnykh. At the end, the recruits received gifts – watches and thermoses.
The spring conscription campaign started on April 1 and will last until July 15. The ranks of the Russian Armed Forces will be joined by about 1,600 recruits from the Lipetsk region, 100 of whom are conscripts aged 27 to 30 years. The conscripts will be distributed among military units on Russian territory; none of them will be sent to the zone of a special military operation.
“Serving in the army teaches discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and turns yesterday’s schoolboys and students into real men. We send the guys to the ground forces. We hope that some of them will remain in the ranks of the armed forces,” comments the governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov.
