The day before, on April 23, it became known that Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Timur Ivanov was detained on suspicion of taking a bribe. The Investigative Committee of Russia reported this.

According to preliminary data, the amount of the bribe exceeds one million rubles. Ivanov faces up to 15 years in prison. The details of the case are not specified.

By the way, in Bryansk, Ivanov oversaw the construction of a military hospital.
