The song and dance ensemble “Siverko” celebrated its 65th anniversary with a festive concert

A large anniversary concert of the folk ensemble took place yesterday at the Arkhangelsk Drama Theater named after M.V. Lomonosov

The artists were congratulated on their anniversary by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region Ivan Dementyev, who in his speech noted the important role of the group’s activities in preserving traditions, continuity of generations and shaping the cultural environment.

— Many teachers and managers are themselves graduates of the team. This is the feature that creates its own atmosphere and gives impetus to move forward,” he said. — We have big plans for the development of the team, and we will continue to support it.

The artistic director of the folk ensemble, Tatyana Sazonova, joined the group at the age of 16, in the choral group, then became a choirmaster. For her, “Siverko” is her whole life. According to her, the ensemble owes its success to its talented artistic director, People’s Artist of the RSFSR Boris Danilov, whose work they carefully preserve and popularize in their performances.

Over 65 years, more than five thousand children have attended the Siverko ensemble school. The team is a laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize, winner of Russian and international festivals, competitions and folklore festivals.

Siverko’s mission is to introduce the unique culture and traditions of the North through its creativity. Therefore, the ensemble is known and appreciated by audiences not only in the Arkhangelsk region, but also far beyond its borders.
