The renovation of Sadovaya Street continues – it is being spruced up with funds from the national project “Safe quality roads”implemented by decision of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and supported by the governor Dmitry Azarov. After the worn layer of the road was milled off over an area of 37,000 sq. m, they began to update elements of engineering equipment: 410 manholes for inspection wells and 34 gratings for rainwater wells. All of them will be set to the design mark.
About 160 hatches and gratings have already been repaired, the press service of the city administration reported.
– We use modern materials and technologies. All hatches have a locking mechanism. The fixation is reliable. This will prevent the lids from being stolen. Previously, attackers would drive up, lift the lid with a crowbar and take it away. Now it takes a lot of effort, a key, to open the hatch. The process is not easy. In any case, if someone decides to commit a theft, it is unlikely to go unnoticed,” explained the foreman of the road section of the contracting organization – NPF “XXI Century” LLC. Alexey Danilov. – In addition, there is a rubberized gasket under the cover. Thanks to it and reliable bolted connections, there will be no noise when passing through the hatch.
During a shift, it is possible to renew the hatches of two dozen wells. In the future, resource supply organizations and engineering services will ensure that after inspections and necessary work, the rubberized seal is returned to its place and the bolts are tightened well.
Now on Sadovaya Street, road slabs are being replaced in those places where the masonry was destroyed. And on the site within the boundaries of Mayakovsky and Ulyanovskaya streets, about 150 pgn were replaced. m of side stone and dismantled the old covering of pedestrian areas. The sidewalks will also be partially tiled (on an area of about 5,500 sq. m).
Repairs take place mainly during the day, and vehicles travel in free lanes. At the same time, experts are preparing to move to the next stage of street renovation. It is necessary to strengthen the base of the roadway on an area of about 2,000 square meters. m.
– The contractor will prepare the roadway surface for further laying of the top layer of asphalt concrete. From side to side along the entire length of the road, asphalt concrete mixture ShMA-16 with a polymer-bitumen binder will be laid. This mixture with improved characteristics, has been used since 2021, complies with GOST, and has proven itself well on Samara roads repaired in past years. The decision to use this mixture was made taking into account the fact that Sadovaya Street is quite long and is in demand among motorists. The ShchMA-16 mixture on PBB is capable of withstanding high operating loads. The guarantee for such coverage will be five years,” said the deputy director of the Samara Municipal Budgetary Institution “Road Management” Kirill Ryabov. – A trial local installation is planned today.
In addition, junctions with cross streets and entrances to intra-block areas, which are in unsatisfactory condition, will be repaired. This is still about 5,000 sq. m of road surface.
Afterwards, the surrounding area will be landscaped and a lawn will be laid. To do this, they will develop the soil, bring in black soil and sow the seeds. Until the grasses emerge, road workers will regularly water the area.
All work on Sadovaya Street, planned under a specialized national project, the contractor expects to complete by the end of May.
