Since the beginning of the fire season, 74 natural fires have occurred in the Tyumen region. The area covered by the fire was about 279 hectares. In 2023, as of April 24, 277 fires were registered on an area of more than 12 thousand 714 hectares, the regional information center reported.
During the day on April 23, 10 natural fires occurred on an area of 93.4 hectares, all of which were extinguished. The last fire to be extinguished was in the area of the village of Sokolovka, Nizhnetavdinsky district. It occurred on April 22 at 16.30 hours. The cause of the fire, according to preliminary data, is careless handling of fire.
The largest number of natural fires was recorded in Tyumen – 14, Tyumen district – 12, Yarkovsky district – 10.
A special fire safety regime has been introduced in the Tyumen region since April 5, 2024. It is prohibited to carry out fire-hazardous work, including agricultural burning, as well as visiting forests by the population.
More than 2 thousand 700 people and over 1 thousand 200 pieces of equipment have been trained to fight fire in the region.
