Orenburg residents are worried that due to flooding, hordes of mosquitoes will not allow them to live. The mayor’s office reported that treatment for blood-sucking insects will begin on May 1.
Now employees of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Orenburg Region are analyzing the territories freed from water. Based on the research results, a map will be generated of the areas to be processed.
Dez-Service LLC, with which the mayor’s office entered into a contract, will primarily pass along the floodplains of the Urals and Sakmara, as well as through rural settlements that are part of the regional center. It is planned that the total processing area will be 50 kilometers.
Organizations and enterprises located in the flood zone will be involved in the work. Management companies and homeowners’ associations will conduct inspections and scheduled treatment of basements and premises at the request of residents. Disinfestation of Orenburg is planned to be completed by June 1.
