MTS announced the introduction of a pet-friendly concept in its retail stores in the Kurgan region. Now customers will be able to visit MTS street stores with their pets.
The pet-friendly concept in the MTS retail chain operates in 1.5 thousand stores in Russia. In the Trans-Ural region, such stores operate in Kurgan and Shadrinsk – they are decorated with special stickers with a dog on the door. There are no restrictions for pet owners: dogs of any size, cats and other pets are allowed into the store.
“Four-legged friends are a significant part of every person’s life, so we open our doors to pets, making visiting MTS stores as comfortable as possible for our customers. In the future we will continue to develop the pet-friendly concept“, comments the general director of the MTS retail network Andrey Gubanov.
According to the All-Russian Pet Census, conducted in 2023, the number of pets in the country has increased by 11% over three years. 56% of families in Russia have pets. Cities with a population of less than 500 thousand inhabitants make the greatest contribution to the growth of the domestic animal population. Here, 57% of families have a cat and a dog, whereas, for example, in cities with a population of over a million, 46% of households have pets.
