In the Bryansk region, the population takes an active part in local self-government. Residents of the region are receiving various proposals for landscaping.
As Bryansk Today reports, citing the report of Governor Alexander Bogomaz to the Bryansk Regional Duma on the government’s activities for 2023. As part of the initiative budgeting program, significant funds are allocated from the regional budget annually – much higher than in neighboring regions.
Last year this amount was 150 million rubles, but this year it was increased to 200 million at the request of the heads of municipalities. In total, more than 500 projects have been implemented, including landscaped public spaces, sports and children’s playgrounds, monuments and memorials.
And under the “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” project, last year 32 public spaces and 133 courtyard areas were landscaped in 35 municipalities.
Four municipalities of the Bryansk region received grants for the implementation of their applications based on the results of all-Russian competitions for the best projects. In Zhukovka, work was completed in 2023, applications from Karachev, Starodub and Surazh are planned to be implemented in 2024-2025.
