Vladimir City Hall one day fired the director of boarding school No. 1 Igor Pasynkov

In one of the prestigious educational institutions of the city of Vladimir – boarding lyceum No. 1 – the leadership is changing. The mayor’s office of the capital of the Vladimir region confirmed to Zebra TV that Igor Pasynkov, who managed the lyceum for 10 years, was fired at the initiative of the employer. The mayor’s office does not speak more specifically about the termination of labor relations with the head of the boarding school. Pasynkov’s experience in the education system is almost 30 years, he is an honorary education worker.

Let us remind you that on April 1, the Vladimir mayor’s office announced plans to organize, on the basis of boarding lyceum No. 1, located on Gorky Street, 97, the city’s first educational center for gifted children “with high educational needs who require special learning conditions.” Actually, this, in fact, has already happened – the new institution is now called the “Progress Educational Center for the Gifted.” It will also be led by a new person; the press service of the Vladimir City Hall finds it difficult to say who exactly.

The selection of students in grades 5-11 for the center for the gifted – for full-time and boarding education – will now be carried out by competition, in the municipality this is called “individual selection”. Therefore, from April 1, boarding school No. 1 did not begin accepting applications from parents, as in other educational institutions.

The transformation of the lyceum into a center for the gifted caused a number of critical posts on social networks – Vladimir residents believe that many families from among single-parent and disadvantaged families, as well as with parents working in structures with a “floating” schedule, are deprived of the opportunity to teach children in a prestigious boarding institution, and it will, in fact, become a center for “golden teenagers.”

Let us add that the school, which became boarding lyceum No. 1 in the city of Vladimir, was opened in 1959. In 1995, lyceum specialized classes in the humanities, physics, mathematics, and natural geography were officially established. The boarding lyceum has always emphasized the unique concept of a community school created in the educational institution, where children from not the most prosperous families, ordinary schoolchildren and talented children are united in one school family.
