Sber clients have saved more than 1.3 billion rubles on mandatory payments since the beginning of the year

In the first quarter of 2024, users of the SberSpasibo loyalty program compensated 1.3 billion rubles with bonuses for utilities, communications, taxes, loans, education, fines and other mandatory payments. This is one and a half times more than for the same period in 2023, the Sber press service told PAI.

Within three days after making a payment in the SberBank Online mobile application, you can use the “Convert bonuses into rubles” option and exchange previously accumulated bonuses for rubles spent on regular payments. This must be done no later than 45 days after payment. The money will be returned to the card within the next day.

In the first months of this year, SberSpasibo clients returned the most funds – 446.5 million rubles – for paid consumer and mortgage loans, compensating for them with bonuses. This is twice as much as in January–March last year.

In second place in terms of savings – 443.6 million rubles – are payments for communication services. Payments for housing and communal services took third place in the number of SberSpasibo bonuses written off – 256.5 million rubles. This is almost double the figure for the same period in 2023.

In fourth and fifth places are education and taxes: in these categories, clients saved 37.6 and 13.5 million rubles, respectively.

In the first quarter of 2024, regular payments with SberSpasibo bonuses were more often compensated by women – 1.5 times more of them than men. As for age, the majority – 52% – were among people between 25 and 44 years old.

In total, from March 2023 to March 2024, SberSpasibo clients saved 5.1 billion rubles on paying for utilities, communications, taxes, loans, education and fines by converting SberSpasibo bonuses into rubles.
