One person died, two were seriously injured

The 44-year-old Kurgan resident was charged under paragraph “a” of Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

We are talking about a traffic violation committed by a drunk driver and negligently resulting in the death of a person and causing serious harm to health.

The accident occurred on December 24 last year at the 326th kilometer of the Yekaterinburg – Shadrinsk – Kurgan highway. The defendant drove into the oncoming lane in a Toyota Raum and crashed into a Renault Logan.

The Renault driver was killed and two passengers were seriously injured, the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reports.

Now the Kurgan resident risks losing his freedom for up to 12 years, and his driver’s license for up to three years.
