Every government ruble must be used with a clear understanding and responsibility to the people

At a meeting of the city administration, the results of the socio-economic development of Bryansk for 2023 were discussed.

The head of the city administration, Alexander Makarov, emphasized the significant financial support of the city from the governor, which made it possible to solve social problems.

The city budget is traditionally focused on social needs, with major expenditures on education, culture, sports and social policy.

Deputy head of the city administration Elena Kachur noted that revenues for last year exceeded the 2022 figures by 1.6 billion rubles, which is almost 10 percent.

The largest contribution to the consolidated budget of the city is made by industrial enterprises, such as BMZ, Bezhitskaya Steel, Silicon El Group and others.

With rising prices for goods and services in 2023, budget execution took place in difficult economic conditions. However, the city continued to solve social problems by relocating citizens from dilapidated housing, building social facilities and repairing infrastructure.

Most of the spending is directed towards education – 52%.

The city participated in three infrastructure projects, including the construction of a road network, a kindergarten and a school.
