The city state traffic inspectorate today, April 24, informed the Svobodnye Novosti news agency about the results of the preventive event “Buckle up the child.”

Since the beginning of the year, traffic inspectors have identified 890 violations of the rules for transporting children.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reminded drivers that transporting children in a passenger car in the front seat under the age of 12, and in the back seat under the age of seven, is necessary only in special child restraint seats, which must correspond to the weight and height of the child. Children over 12 years of age should be fastened with seat belts when transported in the front seat, traffic inspectors noted.
