Moscow. April 24. INTERFAX – In Russia, it is necessary to tighten the issuance of permits for the construction of housing in places where there are risks of floods and other adverse natural phenomena, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Wednesday at a meeting on eliminating the consequences of floods via video conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“And another consideration, Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin – IF). Still, maybe we should tighten up the issuance of construction permits in places where there are risks of floods, landslides, and so on. Because today we see that these events have happened , including in places where construction, in many respects, probably should not have been carried out. Therefore, it seems to me that in such places it is necessary to look again at the permits and rights for housing construction so that there are no such risks that may arise. Unfortunately, they came true,” Siluanov said.

Concluding the meeting, Putin recalled that as the water recedes, the authorities will return to discussing issues related to the current floods. He noted that the most important issue in the future will be the restoration of housing.
