Employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Tver detained a 32-year-old native of the neighboring countries.

According to police, near residential buildings the man organized two caches with bundles of narcotic drugs. During a survey of the area, drug control operatives discovered and seized two packages made of foil and polymer material with a powdery substance.

According to the results of a study by the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tver region, the presence of the narcotic drug methadone with a total weight of 0.77 grams was confirmed, which is a significant amount.

During a search at the defendant’s place of residence in a rented apartment, police discovered and seized about 20 more grams of the substance, which was also sent for research.

A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect. The attacker was placed in a temporary detention center. The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being decided. An investigation is underway. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the illegal actions and the channels through which the drug entered the region.
