The Supreme Court of Russia considered cassation appeals in the case against Dmitry and Nikolai Volobuev, Nikolai and Vladimir Zaitsev and other persons.

Earlier, the court announced the verdict of eight people who were found guilty of crimes of varying severity, as well as acquitted of organizing and participating in a criminal community.

Thus, Dmitry Volobuev was sentenced to 24 years for a combination of crimes. The court reduced his sentence to 23.5 years.

In connection with the publication of a new law improving the situation of the convicted Nikolai Zaitsev, the court reduced his sentence from 9 years to 8.5 years in prison. The punishments of the others were left unchanged, the joint press service of the judicial system of the Kursk region reported.
