101 marriages were registered in the Volgograd region on April 24, 2024

Today, April 24, a wedding boom occurred in the Volgograd region.

In just one day, Volgograd residents entered into 101 marriages. Journalists from Gorodskie Vesti reported this with reference to the regional justice committee. April 24 was not chosen by chance as the date for the wedding. Volgograd residents associated the choice of date with the desire to get married on a beautiful mirror date.

“Residents of the region believe that the beginning of family life on a date with a predominance of twos and fours is a good sign, and the spouses will have long and happy years of marriage,” the committee explained.

The largest number of couples today was registered in the civil registry offices of the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd, Sredneakhtubinsky, Svetloyarsky and Gorodishchensky municipal districts of the Volgograd region.

In total, there are 46 civil registry office departments operating in the Volgograd region, of which 32 departments are located in municipal districts, 6 in urban districts, and another 8 civil registry office departments operate in Volgograd districts. On average, on weekdays the civil registry office this year receives just over 20 applications daily.

The current year has been declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin as the Year of the Family. The symbol of the family hearth “Heart of Russia” was brought to the Volgograd region from the opening ceremony. Its pieces were transferred to other regions of the Southern Federal District, and the Volgograd flame is stored in the Wedding Palace of the Krasnoarmeysky District and in 43 registry offices of the region.
