Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Bogorodskoye district detained two men who attacked a Muscovite at night.
An 18-year-old Muscovite contacted the police and reported that at night on Marshal Rokossovsky Boulevard he was attacked and beaten by two men, and then his smartphone was stolen. As a result of his injuries, the victim lost consciousness and was taken to a medical facility, from where he was released home after receiving assistance. Material damage amounted to more than 18 thousand rubles.
During operational search activities, police detained suspects in the 3rd Podbelsky passage – two men aged 28 and 29 years. They disposed of the stolen goods at their own discretion.
An investigator from the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Bogorodskoye district opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery”. The defendants were charged and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen.
The maximum penalty provided for in this article of the Criminal Code is imprisonment for a term of up to ten years.
In relation to the detainees, protocols were also drawn up on an administrative offense provided for in Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation by a foreign citizen or stateless person of the rules of entry into the Russian Federation or the regime of stay (residence) in the Russian Federation.”
