In the east of Moscow, police detained a suspect in fictitious registration of foreign citizens

Local police officers, together with employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Golyanovo district, detained a woman suspected of fictitiously registering foreign citizens at her place of stay in the Russian Federation.

During the verification of the received operational information, the police of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Eastern Administrative District found that a 57-year-old Muscovite woman, for a monetary reward, registered 10 foreign citizens in her apartment located on Khabarovskaya Street, knowing in advance that they would not live there.

The investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Golyanovo district opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fictitious registration of a foreign citizen or stateless person at the place of stay in the Russian Federation.” A preventive measure was chosen against the defendant in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.

The sanction of this article provides for a maximum penalty of up to 3 years in prison.
