On April 24-25, the medical forum “Health Independence 2.0” is being held at the site of the Ryazan Medical University.

The organizers of the event are the government of the Ryazan region, the regional Business Development Agency, the Ryazan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ryazan State Medical University.

Participants included representatives of government, healthcare and social protection, the medical industry, and education.

The main goals of the event, which is being held for the second year in a row, are to find ways to modernize healthcare through the introduction of innovations, the development of import substitution, and the development of new approaches to the treatment of serious diseases, prevention and promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

The business program of the forum opened with a plenary session “Modern technologies for saving health”, at which Governor Pavel Malkov spoke.

“Last year, the Ryazan region entered the top 5 regions in terms of expected growth in life expectancy. This indicator was the result of serious work in all areas of development of the medical field. Healthcare is a priority for state policy, my personal priority as the head of the region, because people’s lives depend on the state of affairs in this area,” said the head of the region.

Malkov thanked the experts gathered at the forum for their ideas, suggestions, desire to share information and their initiatives – this will help bring the region’s medicine to a new level.

Deputy Chairman of the regional government Yulia Shvakova on her page on the social network emphasized that the forum facilitates the establishment of contacts and exchange of information between representatives of healthcare, the social sphere and the medical industry not only in the regions of Russia, but also in friendly countries.

She said that reverse business missions from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are an important part.

“Our guests, representatives of the medical business, will take part in an exchange of contacts with Ryazan companies and visit enterprises in the region – Farmera and Infarm – to get acquainted with their production and products. We hope that our cooperation will allow us to conclude new contracts, ensure mutual supplies of necessary medicines and equipment, and will contribute to the development of the medical industry in different countries,” noted Yulia Shvakova.

The forum includes an exhibition with the participation of manufacturers of medicines, products, equipment and software for medical institutions. Among the exhibitors are Ryazan enterprises FORT, Infarm, Prime Dentistry, Plexiglas-R, Kasimovsky Instrument Plant, Elatomsky Instrument Plant, Skopinfarm, as well as the Electron company from St. Petersburg, Ambilife “from Lipetsk, “PharmFirm “Sotex” from the Moscow region, “Modern Technological Lines”, “S.P. GELPIK” and MANGO TELECOM from Moscow.

The forum includes a master class on Nordic walking, which will be attended by everyone.
