The 10th anniversary bike ride “Stalingrad-Sevastopol”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the regional “Dynamo”, started in Volgograd.

The 10th anniversary bike ride “Stalingrad-Sevastopol” was launched on Mamayev Kurgan. This year, the traditional event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Volgograd regional organization of the Dynamo Society and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Sevastopol from fascist invaders.

Once again, Dynamo veteran, deputy council of veterans of the Volgograd regional organization of the Dynamo Society, Master of Sports of the USSR in cycling Leonid Vinokurov, took part in the bike ride, which is held during the celebration of Cyclist Day in Russia. Most recently, a veteran of the Dynamo movement was awarded the Dynamo Veteran medal of honor.

In two weeks, the participants of the bike ride will cover 1,500 kilometers of distance, visit 12 cities, in each of which they will leave a handful of sacred Stalingrad soil. The event will end at the foot of the legendary Sapun Mountain complex in Sevastopol.
