In recent years, the volume of industry in Moscow has doubled, and since the beginning of the year alone, the growth of manufacturing industries has shown 17%. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, spoke about this during a visit to the Spetskabel enterprise in the Golyanovo district.
Vice-president of the plant Sergei Lobanov informed the mayor about a 10% increase in production at the enterprise in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. Lobanov also clarified that the plant’s production volume is increasing annually by at least 15% and that a concept for building a new plant is currently being developed to meet growing demand.
The Moscow market receives 32% of the products of the Spetskabel plant, which also supplies its products to 68 regions of Russia. The company’s products surpass foreign analogues in quality and include more than 6 thousand types of products, including fire-resistant cables for fire protection systems and computer network security.
In 2023, the plant entered into an agreement with the Moscow government on the national project “Labor Productivity”. Under the guidance of experts, the production of industrial automation cables was optimized, increasing productivity by 73% without changing costs or labor. At the beginning of the year, a new design of universal cables with increased heat and frost resistance was developed.
It is planned to build a new production workshop for further modernization in order to increase production capacity to 40 thousand km of cables per year. The plant occupies an area of 2.7 hectares, and its production complex is 20 thousand square meters. m. The company employs about 500 people.
