Irkutsk artists will decorate the walls of children’s hospitals in Kirovsk with drawings

In children’s medical institutions of Kirovsk, Irkutsk artists plan to implement the project “Art therapy for children “Small steps to health 2.0”. Drawings on the walls will be based on the theme of Lake Baikal.

Kirovsk was visited by the understudy of the Minister of Health of the Youth Government of the Irkutsk Region, Rumina Semenov. During the trip, she became acquainted with the work of the children’s clinic of the Kirov Central City Multidisciplinary Hospital and the children’s clinic of the Lugansk City Children’s Hospital No. 2.

“With the help of drawings on the walls, artists will make the corridors and waiting areas more friendly and pleasant, which will improve the emotional background of visitors to the medical facility. This practice has already been successfully used in children’s medical institutions in the region. Little patients and their parents respond positively,” said the acting director. Minister of Health of the Irkutsk Region Andrey Modestov.

Let us remind you that Kirovsk and the Irkutsk region entered into a cooperation agreement in August 2022. Doctors and nurses regularly travel from our region to medical institutions in Kirovsk to work. The day before, a surgeon, traumatologist and anesthesiologist returned from a business trip.
