The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region intends to once again transfer funding to the design of the reconstruction of the Raspberry Ridge water station in Nizhny Novgorod. This follows from amendments to the draft changes to the regional budget, considered in April 2024.

For these purposes, the 2024 budget initially included 1.236 billion rubles through infrastructure budget loans (IBK). Now they plan to transfer this entire amount to the 2025 budget.

Please note that this is not the first transfer. The money was included in the regional and municipal budgets for 2022, then postponed to 2023, and then to 2024. As of October 2022, the reconstruction project was 15% ready. The design contract was awarded to Giprokommunvodokanal.Spb LLC for 127 million rubles; the designer was supposed to complete the work in 2023.

It should be noted that the national project “Improvement of the Volga”, within the framework of which it was planned to reconstruct the station, will end in 2024. They will not have time to complete the reconstruction of the Nizhny Novgorod aeration station within the framework of the same national project. The completion of work there is tentatively postponed to 2028, and will be completed within the framework of a new national project.
