The Minister of Education and Science of the region, Natalia Bastrikova, spoke at a briefing at the House of Journalists about how Kursk graduates will take the exams.

The Ministry of Education has approved a list of educational organizations that are subject to the specifics of conducting the State Examination. It included all schools in the Kursk region.

Graduates of 9th grade will be certified based on the results of quarter grades for the year, without additional tests. As for 11th grade graduates, they are given a choice: intermediate certification without exams or the Unified State Exam. In the first case, grades for grades 10 and 11 are taken into account.

When passing the Unified State Exam, two exams are required: Russian and mathematics. If desired, the children choose additional items.

If a missile alert sounds during an exam, the exam will be interrupted and all participants will be required to proceed to shelter. If there is a break of more than 15 minutes, the exam will be stopped and the results will be canceled. The exam will be held on a reserve day.

When a threat of UAV attack is declared, exam reception centers will remain open.

– This year, 3,990 eleventh-graders are graduating in the region. By May 8, they must decide in what form they will undergo certification,” noted Natalia Bastrikova.

A graduate who has chosen an interim assessment as the final exam also has the opportunity to enter a higher educational institution through entrance examinations. Their list and format can be found on the official websites of universities. Tests may be in the form of tests, oral or written examination.

As Natalia Bastrikova noted, last year a special procedure was established for six border districts of the Kursk region, which is about 500 11th grade graduates. Two thirds of them took the Unified State Exam. About 60% of those who chose intermediate certification entered universities.
