Kostroma residents overwintered without shocks: first results of the heating season

The heating season is coming to an end in Kostroma. The Housing and Communal Services Department has summed up preliminary results. There were fewer outages during cold weather this time, and most of the network defects were corrected during daylight hours. Disruptions and serious accidents, unlike other regions, were avoided.
By order of the governor, the city increased the number of teams to repair damage to networks by one and a half times in advance. They worked seven days a week. And during the heating period, specialists from Kostroma enterprises came to the aid of utility workers.
This season was complicated by the fact that the city authorities had to take on the problematic village of First. Before the start of the heating season, a private investor refused to service the local boiler house. And it was transferred to the municipal enterprise “City Networks”. Throughout the winter, specialists repaired equipment and networks so that people would not freeze in their homes.
The heating season will officially end on April 25. But the authorities have already begun to prepare for the following: old pipes are being rebuilt in the city. This year they plan to replace a record 60 kilometers of networks.
