Rostov will be decorated with millions of flowers: the Don capital has begun planting summer plants

Rostov region, April 24, 2024. DON24.RU. Planting of summer flowers has begun in Rostov. The head of the city administration, Alexey Logvinenko, announced this in his Telegram channel.

“The work is being carried out on Teatralnaya Square and the embankment. The next stage will be planting flowers in preparation for the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War,” the mayor wrote.

In total, it is planned to plant more than 1 million flowers, such as tagetes of different colors (yellow, orange, lemon), petunia, gazania, coleus, snapdragon, zinnia, etc. The plants will decorate park areas, roundabouts, entrances to areas, and they will also be planted along the streets in flowerbeds in flowerpots.

The work is planned to be completed by mid-June.

We previously reported that in 2024, as an experiment, they will try to plant hydrangea, gypsophila and multiflora in Rostov.
