The Investigative Committee inspects a dilapidated building in Tula, whose residents have still been given new apartments

Residents of a dilapidated house on Richard Sorge Street in the Proletarsky district of Tula continue to wait for the resettlement required by law. According to the department of the Investigative Committee for the Tula region, the house was declared unsafe back in 2008, but the townspeople are still forced to live in dilapidated apartments.

Investigators launched a pre-investigation check into the fact of negligence during the resettlement of a dilapidated house.

“A set of verification activities is being carried out aimed at establishing an objective picture of what happened,” the department said on Wednesday.

A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the inspection.
