In Samara, the city is being cleaned up after winter as part of the traditional beautification month, which takes place in April. Work is being carried out in public spaces, courtyard areas, and the road network. On April 24, employees of the Zheleznodorozhny district administration, social activists, schoolchildren, students, children and teachers of the Parus extracurricular activities center, as well as active residents, came out to the event. They tidied up the territory of Shchorsa Park: they removed last year’s leaves and garbage, swept the paths, and whitewashed the curbs.

The head of the Zheleznodorozhny district, Vadim Tyunin, noted that work within the framework of the month of improvement is in full swing.

“This park is an iconic area both for our district and for the city as a whole. It is for children; for example, it houses the Parus extracurricular activities center. The public space is among the top 20 places that apply for improvement in 2025 as part of the federal program “Formation of a comfortable urban environment.” We expect to gain the necessary points so that work on its transformation can begin next year, and it will receive a second life and new development,” Tyunin explained.

The activity of residents is one of the key conditions for inclusion of an object in the FKGS. With the participation of townspeople, a project for improvement of this area was developed. According to it, it is proposed to install a multifunctional children’s playground with a playground and two more for sports in the park. There are also plans to renovate the stage, the children’s railway, install decorative street lamps, benches, and plant lawn grass and flowers.

Social activist Natalya Belousova noted that the renovation of Shchorsa Park must be carried out.

— We spend time here with our family, take walks. I would like our favorite place to be restored and become more modern. We need locations for active recreation for children and teenagers, and for older people to sit in the quiet of the alleys. We always participate in community cleanups and cleanups both in our yards and in public spaces in our district,” she noted.

Yulia Guseva, Deputy Director for Social and Pedagogical Work at the Parus Center for Extracurricular Activities, agrees with her.

— The team of teachers at our center always takes an active part in cleaning and landscaping Samara. We can’t wait to reconstruct our beloved Shchorsa Park so that we can welcome as many children as possible here, especially during the summer holidays. People come with pleasure to clean up the park, because this place is practically our home.

We remind you that you can vote for the improvement of public spaces until April 30 on the 63.gorodsreda.ru platform. The winning territories will be renovated next year under the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”. Residents can also seek help from volunteers in all branches of the MFC and in shopping centers.

The Zheleznodorozhny District already has positive experience in improving public spaces based on voting results. Thanks to the caring position of residents on the national project, Krymskaya Square and the “First Cosmonauts” park were previously renovated. And this year, work is underway to improve Chernorechenskaya Street.
